Pick the benefits and rates that fit your household and see the weekly, monthly and yearly total - using the official 2026/27 figures, nothing rounded.
The gap between "not claiming" and an award in this calculator is usually a form and an assessment. Our sister sites help you get the wording right:
Free guides plus a personalised report that turns your answers into descriptor-matched PIP2 wording, and Assessment Prep for the call itself.
Start with a free preview →Personalised help with the ESA50/UC50 form and the Work Capability Assessment that decides LCWRA.
Start with a free preview →Disability benefits stack: PIP or Attendance Allowance sits on top of work, pensions, ESA and Universal Credit, and a child's DLA is paid on top of everything else the household gets. That's why the yearly total surprises people - a household with one PIP award, one carer and UC elements can be entitled to five figures a year it isn't currently claiming. Our guide to what you can claim for a health condition maps who qualifies for each layer, and the free 60-second check narrows it to your situation.
Two things this calculator deliberately doesn't do. It won't means-test you: the UC amounts shown are the full elements, and income, savings between £6,000 and £16,000, and other deductions reduce what's actually paid. And it can't promise an award - these are the amounts at stake, not a prediction. What you can control is how well the claim shows your situation.
